Choral Evensong : Sunday 13th July, 7:00pm
The choir will sing Choral Evensong as part of the Anniversary Celebrations on Sunday 13th July, at 7pm. Responses by Richard Ayleward; Canticles by Herbert
Sumsion in G; Anthem O Thou the Central Orb by Charles Wood.
Concert in church : Sunday 17th August, 7.00pm
The Kyiv Classic Accordion Duo, Igor Sayenko and Oleksiy Kolomoiets, will give a concert of popular classical arrangements and original accordion music. Those who were able to attend in 2007 and 2006 will attest to the musicianship and virtuosity of these two players. You can see them on YouTube here. Tickets for this concert, at which cheese and wine will be served, from Geoffrey Lockwood.

For all walks we will meet at 10.30am from
Christ Church, New Mill.
Saturday 16th February
Upper Holme Valley & Ramsden Clough (9 miles)
Starting at Holme village and taking in Black
Hill, Holme Moss and the edge above the Holme
Valley before dropping down Ramsden Clough to
Ramsden Reservoir and back to Holme.
A definite gaiters walk. This will be strenuous
and probably boggy. Not for children.
Saturday 29th March
Howarth Moor (5 miles)
Rough walking across the wild moorland and heather
which was an inspiration for the Bronte sisters.
Saturday 26th April
Saltersbrook and Lady Cross from Woodhead.
This takes in part of the Trans Pennine Trail
in Woodhead before climbing up to the skyline
on the northern edge of Bleaklow. Great views.
Weekly Yoga Lessons in the Gallery Room
Wednesday Evenings 7.oopm - 8.30pm
Thursday Mornings 10.00am - 11.30am
You will need to wear loose, comfotable clothing
and bring a yoga mat or blanket to work on.
You will also need something warm for the relaxation.

Flower Festival
In September 2001, a flower festival was held
to celebrate the 170th anniversary.
Choir at the BBC
The choir presented the music on the BBC Daily
Service, 9.45-10.00am, Radio 4 LW on 21st/22nd
August 2002. They broadcast the Wednesday service
live from Emmanuel Church, Didsbury, and then
recorded the music to be broadcast the following
